For many attendees and speakers, using Prezentt is a new experience.  Here are some of the best ways to maximize engagement:

Communicate, Communicate, Communicate

  • Send the introduction e-mails a few times to increase the chance they’ll actually read & action them.
  • Double-check the venue will provide WiFi for everyone and power to each desk.  Somehow, many venues often overlook these requests!
  • Ensure each attendee has their own device: preferably a laptop or tablet (although a mobile phone will also work as a backup).
  • At the start of the course, take a couple of minutes to re-introduce Prezentt, show attendees the benefits, and ensure they all have access to everything OK.  There will probably be some substitutes or late registrations who haven’t received any of your e-mails.

Adapt the Materials

  • Instead of requiring attendees to fill out a workbook, put each question onto a separate slide and get them to put their answers in the Notes section of Prezentt.
  • Instead of handing out a CD or USB, upload all the materials to Prezentt, either individually or as a zip archive. It will save you a tonne of time!

After the Course

  • Download the CSV with details of everyone who attended and import this into your CRM, mailing list, etc.
  • Send connection requests to each person on social media and/or invite them to follow you.
  • Send a personalized thank-you e-mail & let them know of other useful resources/links/courses etc.

Cater to your Audience

If you know that most people who will be at your course are older and/or find it difficult to use technology, don’t try to do everything in Prezentt. Provide paper notes and notepads, as well as giving them access to Prezentt for the electronic materials.

Conversely, if your audience is younger than 50 and/or happy using basic web browser functionality and a keyboard, Prezentt will be a fantastic solution and you probably won’t need paper at all.

Either way, make sure you let your attendees know what to expect ahead of time so they have the opportunity to either request paper notes, or print the notes themselves.
